David has had extensive senior financial management experience for the past 19 years including internal audit, controllership and treasury functions. His responsibilities included management of a staff of nineteen representing every area of finance in a large public corporation.
He has been a partner in Archambault & Neathway since 2006 when the two partners decided to begin a public practice in St Stephen and during that time has developed very good relations with various clients representing such diverse business areas as restaurants, retail operations, construction, charitable organizations and others. In his role as accountant for these organizations David has assisted many in developing best practices around bookkeeping, controls, financial reporting and corporate governance.
David has been actively involved in his community most recently as Treasurer of Hospice for Charlotte and held an executive position with the St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce. David is also very involved in his professional organization, the Certified General Accountants Association of New Brunswick and currently holds the position of Past President.
Jason Rideout, CPA, CA, TEP
Jason is ANR’s Tax Partner. To most, it sounds like a scary position to be in, but Jason loves it (which is a bonus for our clients!). Jason’s knowledge background includes obtaining his CA designation in 2005, completing the CICA In-Depth Tax Program, and obtaining his Trust and Estate Practitioner designation (TEP) in 2012. Along with his 17 years of public practice experience, he loves working with owner-managed businesses, start-up entrepreneurs and individuals on a daily basis.
He specializes in tax advisory for small business (click here to learn more). You also need to know that Jason has a passion for working with business qwners to minimize their tax, maximize their value and ensure that their future is planned for. As Jason explains, “We are hear to listen to our clients first. By listening, it allows us to service them with the right solution and advice.” Jason’s skill set is extremely unique for a small practice like ANR. “I am always ready to assist my clients and drawing from my knowledge, skills and experience, provide a knowledgeable solution that will assist them in being Successful.
Jason also offers the Executor & Estate Service line of ANR. In this exciting opportunity for our current clients and future clients, Jason will work with individuals and business owners to build a successful Estate Plan, from start to finish. Jason is also able to take on the role of Executor for your estate should the situation arise that you do not have an Executor or require a professional skill set to assist in being a Co-Executor with a family member. Being an Executor is a huge responsibility and typically its a stressful time, so why try to do it yourself?
Jason believes that it is important to be involved in the community in which you live and he has served on various committees and organizational boards. He has been involved with the St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce since 2010, and continues to serve as a Board Director for the Chamber. He is also the President of the St. Stephen Horseshoe Pitchers Club, a grass roots organization started in 2006 and under Jason’s leadership hosted the 2015 Canadian Horseshoe Pitching Championships in St. Stephen at the Garcelon Civic Center. Jason resides in St. Stephen, NB with his wife, Barb and their two daughters, Claire and Regan.
Laurie Neathway, CPA, CGA
Laurie has been working in the bookkeeping, accounting, and business management fields since 1987, when she graduated from NBCC St Andrews as a bookkeeping clerk. She began her career as a bookkeeper and progressed, through a combination of training and experience, to the position of office manager. Having set her sights on earning her designation as a professional accountant, she began taking courses at UNB at night as a part-time student. When presented with the opportunity, she returned to NBCC full time, and then began her studies through CGA just prior to graduating. She achieved her designation as a Certified General Accountant in 2002, and then went on to complete her Bachelor’s degree (H) in Business Administration in 2007, with majors in both accounting and IT.
She has experience in a broad range of businesses, including not-for-profit organizations, construction, lumber, transportation, and aquaculture industries, as well as public practice as a professional accountant. When approached by Dave Archambault to join him in forming a partnership and opening an accounting practice in St Stephen, Laurie was thrilled to begin fulfilling her dream of using the skills and knowledge she had acquired to help other people become successful in their own businesses. Now, Laurie is enjoying being able to work with people in her local community by providing professional accounting services at our St George office.
Laurie was vice-president of the Eastern Charlotte Chamber of Commerce for several years, and continues to be involved in that organization, as well as the BIA in St George. She was actively involved in the local chapter of CGA NB for many years, having served several terms as president of the Saint John chapter. She has also served as a volunteer with Hospice of Charlotte for several years.
Vicki Legacy, CPA, BBA
Vicki first started with ANR in the spring of 2013 and has been full-time since May of 2016 after completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting at UNB Saint John. Born and raised in St. Stephen, Vicki knew she wanted to stay in the area, so when she was able to obtain a position for her three University Co-op terms with ANR she jumped at the chance.
Along with working full-time Vicki has completed the CPA Professional Education Program and successfully passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) in September 2018 to obtain her CPA designation.
By working closely with the partners of ANR Vicki has been able to gain experience with a wide variety of engagements including tax, accounting and audit. Over the last few years, Vicki has been able to work on many audit engagements and has become well versed in financial statement preparation. Vicki looks forward to continually expanding her knowledge and providing the clients of ANR with the best possible service.
Kayla Leslie, CPA, BBA
Kayla was born and raised in St. Stephen. She graduated from St. Stephen High School in 2009 and knew she wanted to pursue a career in Accounting. She continued on to take Business Administration at UNB Fredericton, where she graduated with honours in Accounting in 2013.
After University, Kayla began working as an analyst for an international corporation out of Saint John. Two years later she decided to move back to her hometown and join on as accountant for a large local business where she gained valuable experience in industry accounting. She graduated from the CPA Atlantic School of Business program and obtained her CPA designation in the summer of 2018. In January 2019, she was pleased to join the ANR team and further her knowledge in the accounting profession.
Kayla has a strong connection with the community of St. Stephen, having lived here her whole life, and currently volunteers as treasurer for the board of The Chocolate Museum. She currently resides in the area with her husband Branden.
Marilyn is native to St. Stephen. She graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1989. After graduation Marilyn worked at various businesses in the service industry, she then worked at a local manufacturing company until its closure in 2011.
Marilyn had always had an interest in accounting and when she became unemployed she took advantage of the situation and returned to school. For the next two years she attended NBCC in St. John, New Brunswick and studied in the business accounting program, while working part time at a local restaurant on the weekends.
Marilyn had approached ANR accounting and worked during the summer of 2013. She then completed her work term in the spring of 2014. After graduating from NBCC she was welcomed to ANR full time. Since then, Marilyn has completed the Canadian Payroll Administration program and has received her certification.
Marilyn enjoys being an active member of the community. She serves as vice-president of the St. Stephen Business Improvement Area and serves as Treasurer for the local STOP group. In past years she has participated with the Santa Clause parade, attended many IWK fundraising auctions and participated in the IWK fundraiser “Walk for Wishes”.
Marilyn and her husband Marc reside in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. They have raised two daughters, their oldest daughter Tabatha Woodside (Jaret Mawhinney) and their grandson Hudson reside in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick. Their youngest daughter Renee (Lister), son-in-law Aaron Quartermain and granddaughter Riannon reside in St. David Ridge, New Brunswick.
Following graduation from Fredericton High School, Ashley moved to St. Andrews to enrol in the International Business and Latin American Studies and Trade course at the New Brunswick Community College. Two years later, with her diploma, she moved to Taiwan with her future husband to teach English. Following a few years of travelling and working outside of New Brunswick, they returned to St. Stephen.
Ashley worked in the mortgage and finance industry for ten years before joining ANR Accountants in 2019. Ashley is currently enrolled in the Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration course offered by STEP Canada.
Ashley lives in St. Stephen with her husband, Kirk, two children, Emilie and Jack, and their dog Baya. While not in the office, Ashley loves to spend time with her family and in the summer months, much of that time is spend camping.
Tammy has lived in St. Stephen for 37 years and graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1990. After completion of post secondary education in Fredericton, she started her accounting career with Mark H. Porter Professional Corporation in 1992 until 2017. In her spare time, Tammy also kept the books for her family’s business (Olde Carr Auto). It was there that ANR witnessed her skills as a bookkeeper and recruited her to join the team where she has been employed since September 2019. As a committed member of the ANR team, Tammy looks forward to serving her new clients as well as existing clients of the firm.
Born and raised in St. Stephen, Brandon graduated from St. Stephen High School in 2014. In the fall of 2014 Brandon enrolled in the Business Administration Accounting program offered at NBCC Fredericton and graduated with honours following summer employment between school years and a workplace practicum with ANR. Brandon knew right away that the group at ANR were fun, kind, and knowledgeable, and looked forward to learning from them.
Brandon offers bookkeeping services for a wide variety of clients relating to HST, payroll, T4s, tax filing, as well as on-site support and training with new and established businesses alike.
Katherine was born and raised in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. After high school, she graduated from NBCC – St. Andrews with a diploma in Office Technology in 1995. The following spring Katherine moved to Saint John, with her family and built a life there for 13 years. During her time in the city, Katherine was able to build a strong business background working for various companies in office administrative settings for over 20 years. Those companies and positions include Tabufile Atlantic (Reception), Scholten’s Landscape Ltd.(Office Manager), St. Joseph‘s Hospital Foundation (Office Manager), Atlantic Windoor (Operations Manager), and FCC Construction (Document Control Specialist), a division of the OSCO Group.
After Katherine’s return to St. Stephen, in July 2011 she began working as a realtor’s assistant and in March 2012 she obtained her REALTOR’s license and was able to join Exit Realty Charlotte County. In 2016 she and Rob Mills opened Pita Pit in downtown St. Stephen.
Katherine is a mother of 4 children and is actively involved in her community. She served as past chair to Women in Business Charlotte County and currently sits on the board of directors for the Business Improvement Area as well as a member the Events & Promotions Committee through Chamber of Commerce
In January of 2015 Katherine accepted the position of Office Administrator for Archambault, Neathway & Rideout. For Katherine, belonging to a company that specializes in helping people become successful on a personal and professional level is profoundly rewarding making this environment a pleasure to work in.
Ronee used to known around St. Stephen as the waitress always with a smile and memory that scares most when it comes to what you have ordered in the past. Her husband Fraser jokes that she can remember what you order months ago but can’t remember to pick up milk. During her time at the local restaurant she took on many roles, waitress, cook, dishwasher, and even management.
Ronee was born and raised in St. Stephen. After graduating she still wasn’t sure what she wanted to do so she went to work. Over the next 20 plus years she worked in a few different restaurants and even at Canadian Tire. One thing was clear she enjoyed working with people.
January 2016 Ronee returned to school taking the Office Administrative – Executive program, she traveled to Saint John for a year and half. Making many friends along the way. A position came up at ANR in St. Stephen and she was happy to join the group. During the two years with ANR she has moved around in the office and has now settled at the front desk. Ronee continues to assist the clients with their needs, she has taking on the role of dealing with CRA for the clients and she seems to have a way with them 🙂
Born in Charlotte County Faith has a deep love and commitment for her community and surrounding communities. Helping others, whether it is for municipal reasons, work reasons or fundraising for needed projects is a passion for her. She is known as the person to go to if you need information or have questions as she is always available. After graduating from Fundy High School, she went on to NBCC St. Andrews taking Computerized Accounting. She worked several years as a bookkeeper and GM of Granite Town Hotel. Faith currently has served two terms on Council as Councillor, Deputy Mayor and currently as Acting Mayor of St. George.
In January 2018 she was offered and accepted the position of Office Administrator for Archambault, Neathway & Rideout and she tells everyone she loves being part of such a vibrant, knowledgeable and community minded firm.
