Jason Rideout, CPA, CA, TEP
Jason is the owner of ANR. His specialization is Tax. To most, it sounds like a scary position to be in, but Jason loves it (which is a bonus for our clients!). Jason’s knowledge background includes obtaining his CA designation in 2005, completing the CICA In-Depth Tax Program, and obtaining his Trust and Estate Practitioner designation (TEP) in 2012. Along with his 20 years of public practice experience, he loves working with owner-managed businesses, start-up entrepreneurs and individuals on a daily basis.
He specializes in tax advisory for small business (click here to learn more). You also need to know that Jason has a passion for working with business owners to minimize their tax, maximize their value and ensure that their future is planned for. As Jason explains, “We are hear to listen to our clients first. By listening, it allows us to service them with the right solution and advice.” Jason’s skill set is extremely unique for a small practice like ANR. “I am always ready to assist my clients and drawing from my knowledge, skills and experience, provide a knowledgeable solution that will assist them in being Successful.
Jason also offers the Executor & Estate Service line of ANR. In this exciting opportunity for our current clients and future clients, Jason will work with individuals and business owners to build a successful Estate Plan, from start to finish. Jason is also able to take on the role of Executor for your estate should the situation arise that you do not have an Executor or require a professional skill set to assist in being a Co-Executor with a family member. Being an Executor is a huge responsibility and typically its a stressful time, so why try to do it yourself?
Jason believes that it is important to be involved in the community in which you live and he has served on various committees and organizational boards. He has been involved with the St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce since 2010, and continues to serve as a President of the Chamber. He is also the President of the St. Stephen Horseshoe Pitchers Club, a grass roots organization started in 2006 and under Jason’s leadership hosted the 2015 Canadian Horseshoe Pitching Championships in St. Stephen at the Garcelon Civic Center. Jason resides in St. Stephen, NB with his wife, Barb and their two daughters, Claire and Regan.
Vicki Legacy, CPA
Vicki first started with ANR in the spring of 2013 and has been full-time since May of 2016 after completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting at UNB Saint John.
Born and raised in St. Stephen, Vicki knew she wanted to stay in the area, so when she was able to obtain a full-time position with ANR she jumped at the chance.
Vicki completed the CPA Professional Education Program and successfully passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) in September 2018 to obtain her CPA designation.
By working closely with the partners of ANR Vicki has been able to gain experience with a wide variety of engagements including tax, accounting and audit.
Over the last few years, Vicki has been able to work on many audit engagements and has become well versed in financial statement preparation.
Vicki looks forward to continually expanding her knowledge, working closely with small business owners and non-profit organizations and continuing to provide the clients of ANR with the best possible service.
Vicki resides in St. Stephen, NB with her partner Jamon and outside of work can be found raising their daughter Sophia.
Kayla Leslie, CPA
After University, Kayla began working as an analyst for an international corporation out of Saint John. Two years later she decided to move back to her hometown and join on as accountant for a large local business where she gained valuable experience in industry accounting. She graduated from the CPA Atlantic School of Business program and obtained her CPA designation in the summer of 2018. In January 2019, she was pleased to join the ANR team and further her knowledge in the accounting profession.
Kayla has a strong connection with the community of St. Stephen, having lived here her whole life, and currently volunteers as treasurer for the board of The Chocolate Museum. She currently resides in the area with her husband Branden.
Ashley Parker
Ashley worked in the mortgage and finance industry for ten years before joining ANR Accountants in 2019. In June of 2022, she completed the CETA – Certificate of Estate and Trust Administration course through STEP Canada. Ashley enjoys working with the estate and tax planning side of accounting.
Outside of ANR Accountants, Ashley and her husband, Kirk, own and operate Top Shelf Cabinets. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Business Improvement Area. As well, she is the Treasurer for the St Stephen Home and School Association.
Brandon Parks
Brandon has recently moved into the role of Staff Accountant where he is working closely with ANR clients to complete their year end financial statements and corporate tax returns.
Melida Sanchez
Melida graduated from Fundy High School knowing she wanted to study in the Accounting field.
She then got accepted to NBCC Saint John for the Business Administration: Accounting Program in the fall of 2019.
After graduating college Melida had a baby boy Sebastián, and currently lives in St. Andrews with her Fiancé Samuel.
She wanted to stay local and decided to apply for the Staff Accountant position offered at ANR, after meeting with the team members Melida knew they were the right people to start her Accounting career.
Currently working with our Business Solutions clients, Melida’s goal is to pursue her CPA designation in the future.
Tammy Williams
In her spare time, Tammy also kept the books for her family’s business (Olde Carr Auto). It was there that ANR witnessed her skills as a bookkeeper and recruited her to join the team where she has been employed since September 2019.
As a committed member of the ANR team, Tammy looks forward to serving her new clients as well as existing clients of the firm.
Katherine Mills
After Katherine’s return to St. Stephen, in July 2011 she began working as a realtor’s assistant and in March 2012 she obtained her REALTOR’s license and was able to join Exit Realty Charlotte County. In 2016 she and Rob Mills opened Pita Pit in downtown St. Stephen.
Katherine is a mother of 4 children and is actively involved in her community. She served as past chair to Women in Business Charlotte County and currently sits on the board of directors for the Business Improvement Area as well as a member the Events & Promotions Committee through Chamber of Commerce
In January of 2015 Katherine accepted the position of Office Administrator for Archambault, Neathway & Rideout. For Katherine, belonging to a company that specializes in helping people become successful on a personal and professional level is profoundly rewarding making this environment a pleasure to work in.
Faith Avery
After graduating from Fundy High School, she went on to NBCC St. Andrews taking Computerized Accounting. She worked several years as a bookkeeper and GM of Granite Town Hotel. Faith has served two terms on Council as Councillor, Deputy Mayor and Acting Mayor of St. George.
In January 2018 she was offered and accepted the position of Office Administrator for Archambault, Neathway & Rideout and she tells everyone she loves being part of such a vibrant, knowledgeable and community minded firm. You can find her behind her desk in our St. George office at 37 Main Street, she is always ready to help you and give you a smile.
Tammy McLaughlin
Tammy was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and raised Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick from the age of 7. After graduating from Fundy High School in 1991, she worked for Connors Bros. until 1999. She went back to school at NBCC – Saint John and graduated with a diploma and honors in Office Technology in 2000. She worked for several years at David A. Bartlett Professional Corporation as a Legal Assistant. In 2012, her husband started his own Electrical company, and she took on the role of Treasurer and Bookkeeper for the company. In 2017, she worked at the Family Resource Centre of Charlotte County as Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper.
Tammy lives in Bayside, New Brunswick with her loving husband, Kevin. She is a stepmother of a wonderful and loving daughter and a wonderful granddaughter. She loves spending time with them as much as she can. She is also active in the Heather Curling Club in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick and sits on the Board of Directors.
In June of 2022 Tammy accepted the position of Front Desk Administrator for Archambault, Neathway & Rideout. For Tammy, she loves helping people in any way she can. She tells everyone she loves working for such a wonderful and knowledgeable organization. The staff at ANR are so approachable and friendly. As a new member of the ANR team, Tammy looks forward to greeting and serving the ANR clients for many years to come.
David Archambault, FCPA, FCGA (Retired)
David has had extensive senior financial management experience for the past 25 years including internal audit, controllership and treasury functions. His responsibilities included management of a staff of nineteen representing every area of finance in a large public corporation.
Dave has transitioned into retirement from ANR.
He was a partner in Archambault & Neathway since 2006 when the two partners decided to begin a public practice in St Stephen. In 2012, he was a founding partner in Archambault, Neathway and Rideout. During that time has developed very good relations with various clients representing such diverse business areas as restaurants, retail operations, construction, charitable organizations and others. In his role as accountant for these organizations David has assisted many in developing best practices around bookkeeping, controls, financial reporting and corporate governance.
David has been actively involved in his community most recently as Board member of Canada’s 1st Basketball and has held an executive position with the St. Stephen Area Chamber of Commerce.
Laurie Neathway, CPA, CGA (Retired)
She has experience in a broad range of businesses, including not-for-profit organizations, construction, lumber, transportation, and aquaculture industries, as well as public practice as a professional accountant. When approached by Dave Archambault to join him in forming a partnership and opening an accounting practice in St Stephen, Laurie was thrilled to begin fulfilling her dream of using the skills and knowledge she had acquired to help other people become successful in their own businesses. Now, Laurie is enjoying being able to work with people in her local community by providing professional accounting services at our St George office.
Laurie is retired and will be available as a Senior Advisor to ANR in 2023.
